Ginger Butter Recipes

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 Tbsp fresh ginger root, grated
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp ground ginger
Heat about 1/8 of the butter over low heat in a heavy skillet.
Add grated fresh ginger and cook for 1 minute.
Add maple syrup and ground ginger and cook for 1 more minute.
Remove from heat and let cool for 4 minutes.
Move to a bowl. Mix in the remaining butter and stir the mix until smooth.
Use as a filling or topping for tortillas, pita bread, bagels, toast, flat bread, crackers, or with other food.
